Restriction on Hazardous Substance
Policy Document
Issued 20th June 2006
Subject RoHS:
Restriction on Hazardous Substance Directive 2002/95/EC
effective date 1st July 2006
The RoHS Directive restricts the use and establishes maximum concentrations of certain substances commercially used in electronic equipment. E.g. Lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium and cadmium
MjA Promotes an environmentally friendly policy within its own business and we encourage our clients to do the same.
MjA welcome this directive to promote human health and that of our environment.
All electronic products imported by us after the 1st July 2006 will be RoHS compliant.
To ensure compliance MjA select importing agents who are proactive on the issue. Letters of Compliance supported by Test Certificates are required of the manufacturers and our importing agents also carry out random independent testing.
MjA’s prices are very competitive and although RoHS compliant components are more expensive, we will keep any price adjustment to the minimum necessary.
